Barbara M. Ragas

Barbara M. Ragas passed away on Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at the age of 86 years. Beloved wife of the late Clayton J. Ragas. Mother of Michael J. Ragas and mother in law of Rebecca F. Ragas. Daughter of the late Olga Salinovich Machella and John J. Machella. Grandmother of Christopher M. Ragas (Tiffany), Susan R. Shepard (Jason) and the late Nicholas J. Ragas. Great Grandmother of Austin M. Ragas, Ashley P. Ragas, Jackson N. Shepard and Cecilia E. Shepard. She was the 1946 72nd Queen of the United Slavonian Benevolent Association Festival, a volunteer worker at Mary Joseph Residence for many years and a parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Belle Chasse, LA for 38 years. A native of Boothville, LA and a lifelong resident of Plaquemines Parish. Relatives and friends of the family, also parishioners of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at 11am. Visitation will be held at the church from 9am until 11am. Interment, Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 8968 Hwy 23, Belle Chasse, LA 70037 are preferred.
