Barbara Babin Romero

Barbara Babin Romero entered peacefully into eternal rest on Monday, June 6, 2016 surrounded by her adoring family. Beloved wife of 60 years of John Romero, she was the love of his life and he was always at her side. Devoted and loving mother of Kim R. Remy (John), Wendy R. Parria and Rhonda R. Breaux (Mike). Proud grandmother of Adrienne Remy Clements (Chad), Jordan Remy (Rachel), Mark Parria, Jr. (Stephanie), Ashley Parria, Jozie Bonner, Ehren Breaux and Lezli Breaux. Great-grandmother of Hunter Parria. Sister of Malcolm Babin (Beth). She was born on November 17, 1935 to the late Terrance Babin and Irene Aguilar Babin. She will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by all of us, along with her many friends including the Poker-Keno Club, the Marrero Chateau Dames and the Red Hat Society. The family would like to give special thanks to all of her compassionate caregivers, especially the wonderful staff of Notre Dame Hospice who made it possible for her to be cared for in her home with us.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in her honor at St. Rosalie Catholic Church, 600 Second Avenue, Harvey, LA on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at 11:00 am.
