Rev. Belinda Holland Pellegrin

November 28, 1956 — April 17, 2012

Rev. Belinda Holland Pellegrin joined our Lord Jesus in eternal life on April 17, 2012. Rev. Belinda was born at Sumter Air Force Base in South Carolina on November 28, 1956 and lived on the west bank of Jefferson Parish. She has been a resident of St. Tammany Parish for the past eleven years. She graduated from L.W. Higgins in 1974 and attended Pearl River Jr College and Lee University. She became an ordained minister with the Church of God in June 2003. Belinda was a beloved mother, daughter, sister, friend, teacher, and minister. She spent her adult life devoted to youth ministries throughout southern Louisiana. Through her devotion to the Lord she enriched the lives of all she encountered.

She is survived by her son Steve Allen Pellegrin; Foster Daughter: Jessica Clark (Kevin); Mother and Stepfather: Gail Banquer Barrilleaux and Donald Barrilleaux Sr.; Father: Linvel (L.R., Lynn) Holland; Sisters: Cynthia Holland Owens (Chris Sr.), Denise Holland Bourg, Katherine Robinson (Cam), Connie Leach (Paul),and Tammy Shroyer; Brothers: Donald Barrilleaux Jr.(Tabitha),and Chris Holland(Jenni Leigh); Grandchildren: Bailey and Bryson Clark; Godchildren: Jennifer(Doc Jen) Owens, Donald Paul Barrilleaux III and Porter Lilliman; Nieces and Nephews: Jennifer and Christopher Owens; Rebecca Robinson; Billy and Dustin Leach; Ashley Dyer; Blake, Donald Paul, Edward and Angel Barrilleaux; and Porter and Audrey Lilliman; Great Nieces and Nephews: Alex Owens; Donnie and Kaylee Barrilleaux; Josie and Rosie Dyer; Blakie Barrilleaux; and Auroreon Estes; as well as many other beloved family members, friends, and all of God's children touched through her youth ministry work with the Church.

And she loved Little Esther, too.

Relatives, friends, and others touched by her are invited to attend a celebration of her life at Mothe Funeral Home 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, Louisiana. Visitation will be from 6pm to 9pm on April 20,2012 and 9am to 11am on April 21 ,2012. Service will be at 11am in the funeral chapel followed by internment at Westlawn Memorial Park in Gretna, Louisiana. To honor Rev. Belinda and her work with God's children donations may be made in memory of Rev. Belinda Pellegrin to "The Rev. Belinda Pellegrin Scholarship Fund" C/O Louisiana Church of God Youth Department 12005 Coursey Blvd. Baton Rouge, LA 70816. Donations will be used to cover tuition costs of youths in financial need from the Louisiana area to attend the Christian summer youth camp that she cherished so dearly.
