Bernadette Vedros Poole

Bernadette Vedros Poole passed away on May 13, 2016 at the age of 83 years. Beloved wife of 65 years to Thomas J. Poole. Mother of Deborah Catherine Carlisle (Mat), Thomas Portis Poole (Pauline), Suzanne Therese Estrada (Manny), Michael David Poole, Karen Eileen Poole, Jennifer Lynn Biggs (David), Sharon Elizabeth Mahne (Michel), Steven John Poole (Mary Frances), Mary Lynn Poole and Judy Lynn Poole. Sister of Joan Tuminello (the late Frank) and Caroline Brown (the late John). Also survived by 17 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. “Her children rise up and call her Blessed; her husband also, and he praises her.” Proverbs 31:28.
She was an avid golfer and tennis player as well as a talented artist. She touched the lives of so many and will be sadly missed. Donations in her memory may be made to Fr. Flanagan’s Boy’s Town ( www.boystown.org ).
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at MOTHE FUNERAL HOMES, 1300 Vallette Street, Algiers, LA on Friday, May 20, 2016 at 11 AM. Visitation will take place on Thursday from 5 PM to 9 PM, resuming on Friday from 8 AM to 11 AM.
