Bernard J. Covell Jr.

Bernard J. Covell Jr. passed away on December 30, 2015 at the age of 77 years. Beloved husband of Mary Laborie Covell. Father of Greta Gloven (Michael) and Eric Covell (Rebecca). Grandfather of Benjamin, Priscilla, Richelle, Mary, Logan, Michael, Eric Jr. and Rylee. Great-grandfather of Everett, Loretta and Thatcher. Brother of Barbara Adams (Louis). Son of the late Aletha Gegenheimer Covell and Bernard J. Covell Sr. Also survived by many other loving relatives and friends.
Bernard retired from Louisiana Power & Light, Co. as a construction supervisor. He was retired Chief of the David Crockett Volunteer Fire Department, serving the community for over 50 years as a firefighter. He was a member of Indivisible Friends Lodge No. 1 F & AM, Sts. John Lodge F & AM, Knights Templar and Scottish Rite Bodies.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expy., Harvey, LA on Thursday, January 7, 2016 from 10 AM to 1:30 PM.
