Bernard Joseph Mayrbat

Bernard Joseph Mayrbat entered into eternal rest on Sunday, January 6, 2013 at the age of 88. Beloved husband of 13 years to Kathleen Finch. Son of the late Eloise Sordo Mayrbat and Vilmore J. Mayrbat, Sr. Brother of the late Vilmore J. Mayrbat, Jr. Mr. Bernard served in the United States Navy during World War II and the Korean War. He worked 30 years in Federal Service, retired as a Contract Negotiator from NASA, worked at Edward Air Force Base in California and was employed at Northside Electric as a Purchasing Agent until January 1987. He was a member of BPO Elks Lodge #72 and a lifetime member of the VFW Post #5733. Bernard was born in New Orleans, LA; resided in Lancaster, California for 30 years and was a resident of Marrero, LA since 1972. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Thursday, January 10, 2013 from 8:30AM until 11AM. A Funeral Mass will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 11AM. Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA.
