Bernard "Ray" Joseph Murray passed away Monday, February 15, 2016. Beloved husband of Billie Bass Murray. Son of the late Rose McLaughlin Gamash. Father of Ruth M. Weems, Kathy M. Schenck (Craig), Jessika S. Scarle (Kristin), Angela Murray, Susan M. Saad (Marc), and Ashley M. Altmeyer. Grandfather of Brandon, Andrew, Caleb, Bethany, Addison, Jackson, Eric, Birdie, Nora, Maddelyn, and Joy. Great-grandfather of Sophie, Aubrey, Addie, and Katelyn.
He will also be missed by his beloved puppy Sonny Boy.
Age 85 years, a native of Minneapolis, MN and a resident of Algiers, LA. He served in the U.S. Army in Germany. He was the previous owner of Ray Murray Presents Carnivals, worked in sales motivation, and then became a lay evangelist with Catholic Charismatic Renewal of New Orleans. Ray loved the Lord. He was a doting grandfather, an avid golf and tennis player and fisherman. He was known as "Ray the Boy with the Television Mind."
Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the Chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Thursday, February 18, 2016 at 11 AM.
