Bernard Ray “Frog” Martin passed away on August 18, 2014 at the age of 89 years. Beloved husband of Donna Collins Martin. Father of Ann Martin Gravolet (the late Ben), Earl Joseph Martin and June Martin Shea (Jim). Grandfather of Rebecca “Becky” Gravolet Decker (Kevin), Heather Elizabeth Zanco and Philip Zanco. Great-grandfather of Ryan and Colin Decker.
Step-father of Susan Mathews (Elvin) and Mark Leavitt (Debbie). Step-grandfather of Angela Dugas (Anthony), Michael Mathews and Cody Leavitt. Step-great-grandfather of Ronnie Paul Dugas.
Brother of Mary Lou Ban, the late Una Barrois, Benjamin E. Martin, Emile E. Martin III (Amanda), J. Eugene Martin (Althea), Rita “Tots” Collins and Lorraine Landry. Son of the late Mercedes Becnel Martin and Emile Martin Jr. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
He served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II in the Pacific Theater.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Belle Chasse, LA on Thursday, August 21, 2014 from 9 AM to 11 AM.
