Berthold J. Bailly

Berthold “Bert” J. Bailly entered into Heaven on Monday, April 01, 2013 at the age of 83. Beloved husband of Iris Breaux Bailly for 49 years. Father of Joni Ledbetter (Rick), Sharon Gravois, Karen Leger (the late Larry), Karl Melling (Jane), and the late William Melling. Son of the late Orestelia Guidry Bailly and Jerome Bailly. Brother of the late Stella Mitchell, Melanie Miglorie, Mercedes Gidere, Elenora Scroggs, Gloria Higgins, Warren and Chandler Bailly. Survived by 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Bert served 8 years in the U.S. National Guard, and was a lifetime member of the Pioneers Club, a member of the New Orleans Real Estate Board, and the owner of Bert Bailly Realty and Appraisal Service. A native of Lafitte, LA and a resident of Gretna for the past 42 years. Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend a Celebration of Life Memorial at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at 3 PM.
