Berthran "Bert" Paul Plaisance, Sr.

Berthran “Bert” Plaisance, Sr. entered into eternal rest on Sunday, November 4, 2012 at the age of 71. Beloved and loving husband of 52 years to Brenda P. Plaisance. Son of Eula Dufrene Plaisance and the late Herbert Plaisance. Father of Darnell Davis (Husband Matt), Karen Griffin (Husband Thomas), Dana Matherne (Husband David), Berthran Plaisance, Jr. (Wife Kelly) and the late Kyle Plaisance. Survived by 15 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 1 expected great grandchild. Brother of Kathy Parfait (Husband Charles), Bonnie Gambino (Husband Anthony), Patty Cunningham (Husband Eddie), Darwin Plaisance, Sr. (Wife Angela) and the late Peggy Griffen (Survived by former husband, George and the late Jimmy Borchers). Also survived by a host of nieces and nephews. Bert was born in Gheens, LA and was a lifelong resident of Bridge City, LA. The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to Heart of Hospice for their love and care given to Bert. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Friday, November 9, 2012 from 9AM until 11AM. A Funeral Mass will be held in the Chapel on Friday at 11AM. Interment will be in Gate of Heaven Mausoleum (Our Lady of Prompt Succor Cemetery), Westwego, LA.
