Bertrand Joseph Buras

Bertrand “Joe” Buras entered into eternal rest on Friday, August 30, 2013 at the age of 76. Beloved husband of 17 years to Agnes Perkins Buras. Son of the late Frank Buras and Verna Smith Buras. Father of the late Frankie Buras. Step Father of the late Barry M. Bailey and Craig S. Bailey. Joe is also survived by his brothers and sisters. He was a resident of Venice, LA until Hurricane Katrina and presently residing in Summit, Mississippi. A Visitation will be held at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Highway 23, Port Sulphur, LA on Thursday, September 5, 2013 from 11AM until 1PM. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church on Thursday at 1PM. Interment will be in Our Lady of Good Harbor Cemetery, Buras, LA. MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA in charge of arrangements.
