Betty Jean Turner Alwell passed away Saturday, January 25, 2014. Beloved wife of Gerald J. Alwell for 44 years. Loving mother of Margaret E. Duplantis (the late Edward), James O. Laurent (Linda) and Gerald E. Laurent (Inez). Sister of Alice, Elois, the late Frank and Elaine. Also survived by 8 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and one expected great grandchild. Age, 79 years. A native of Houlka, Mississippi and a resident of Harvey, LA. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Memorial Visitation at Faith Temple, 800 S. Jamie Dr., Avondale, LA. on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 from 10 AM until NOON. The Memorial Service will begin at NOON.
