It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and great grand-mother, Betty D Blondiau, at the age of 71. A proud New Orleans native, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Bernadette Dominick. She was a vibrant soul who lived her life full of love laughter and an unwavering commitment to her family.

A devoted wife, Betty was married to her loving husband and best friend Edward Blondiau, for 55 wonderful years. They built a life full of cherished memories. Together they were blessed with two daughters; Dana Blondiau and Candida(Dida) Blondiau, four grand children: Chad Michael, Jenna Renee, Danielle Nichole, and Haylie Michelle; and 7 great grandchildren all of whom she cherished deeply. She was a loving sister to Earl(Maria) Dominick, Wilson(Carol) Dominick, Henry(Louise) Dominick, Willie(Sandra) Dominick, Eddie(Cindy) Dominick, Mary Dominick and Judy Dominick. She is also survived by her godchild Darnell(Robert) Falcon, and many nieces and nephews.

Known for her warm heart, Betty had a unique ability to make everyone she met feel special. Whether it was through her famous homemade hot tamales or a heartfelt hug when she walked through the grocery store, she made friends wherever she went. She treated everyone like family.  For many years, children of the neighborhood would stop by to share a glass of sweet tea with her.  Throughout the years, those same neighborhood kids with children of their own would return to the same welcoming home to enjoy that same glass of sweet tea. A lover of life and music, she found joy in the tunes of Bob Seger, and his songs would often fill her home as she danced around her home. Her love for cooking was legendary and the kitchen is where she shined brightest, sharing not only meals but a piece of her heart. She had a competitive spirit that created memories with friends through local dart leagues that will last far beyond the scoreboard.

Betty leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter and colorful spirit will forever be cherished by her family and all who were fortunate enough to know her. She will be deeply missed

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
