Betty "Boo" Bruce Sanchez

Betty “Boo” Bruce Sanchez passed away on November 17, 2016 at the age of 77 years. Beloved wife of the late Eldrige Sanchez by second marriage and former wife of the late Louis Pellegrin Sr. by first marriage. Mother of June Leonard (John), Troy Pellegrin (Bertha), Louis Pellegrin Jr. and the late Claiborne “C.J.” Pellegrin. Sister of Joyce Englade, the late Rita Brunet, Virgie Fortmayer, Sister Valerie Bruce, Geriod, Joe, Melvin and Richard Bruce. Also survived by many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Betty owned the former Betty’s Lafitte Restaurant and worked at Sal’s Seafood, Snell’s Restaurant and Boomtown Casino. She will be sadly missed.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Chateau Terrebonne Health Care Center and Notre Dame Hospice for their care and compassion during this difficult time.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOMES, 2100 Westbank Expy., Harvey, LA on Friday, November 25, 2016 from 10 AM to 1:30 PM. Services will be held in the funeral home chapel. Interment Westlawn Memorial Park.
