Betty Merle Collins

Betty Merle Collins entered into eternal rest on Saturday, August 17, 2013 at the age of 92. Beloved daughter of the late John P. Collins and Nellie LaCour Collins. Loving sister of George Collins. Aunt of Brian Collins and wife Sandee. Great Aunt of Courtney Collins. Betty was born in Alexandria, LA and resided in Algiers, LA. She was a Department Manager for Blue Cross/Blue Shield Insurance Company in the Jacksonville, Florida office and on the Board of Directors of her Credit Union. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Propeller Club of the Port of New Orleans until her retirement. Her yearly trips to Europe were one of her many joys. A Visitation will be held at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Thursday, August 22, 2013 from 9AM until 11AM. A Funeral Mass will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 11AM. Interment will be held in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA.
