Betty Knoblock Naquin, also known by her family as Dusty, reunited with her loving husband Henry Naquin on Tuesday, April 4,2023 at the age of 83. Even in her last days, Betty was full of life making sure her family surrounding her laughed more than cried. Family was everything to her. She leaves behind two sons- Patrick Groue and Brian Naquin, Two daughter in-laws which she loved like daughters, Connie Groue and Rene Naquin, Four grandchildren - Nicholas Groue, Brennon Naquin, Courtney and Bubba Ledet, one great grandson Henry Groue and several grand dogs. As a long time resident of Schriever
Betty spent her days living life to the fullest and continued to do so in her more recent years as a resident of Saint Joseph’s Apartment Community in Gretna where she loved hanging with her “old peeps” as she would say. She loved walking to the Gretna Market and Gattuso’s with her sister in law Juanita Rodrigue and close friend Janis Rawl. The only thing she loved more than cheering for the New Orleans Saints was cheering for Brennon and Henry. She enjoyed being outdoors and loved playing games with family like Left, Right Center where she held the family title as champion. She truly lived a life with no regrets. She never left anything unsaid and she never failed to make those around her smile and laugh regardless of the circumstances. She left a mark on the heart of every person she met. The life of those she loved will never be the same without her, but life was great because of her. Betty Naquin, our Golden Girl, will truly be missed! Interment private.
