Betty Janice Merritt Oubre

Betty Janice Merritt Oubre passed away on Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at age 79. Beloved wife of the late Leonard Oubre. Beloved mother of Patricia LeClair (Wayne Degeyter), the late Robert Herndon, Audrey Jensen and Raymond Benoit. Sister of Edna, Robert, and the late Julia Mae, Arvey, J.B., Colon, Katie and Mary. Also survived by 11 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Daughter of the late Nettie Merritt Johnson. A native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Bay St. Louis, MS until Katrina and most recently a resident of Westwego, LA. Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend the funeral service in the chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at 1:30 PM. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Mausoleum, Westwego, LA. Visitation will be from 9 AM until 1:30 PM.
