Betty "Nana" Ridings

Betty “Nana” Bennett Ridings passed away peacefully on March 30, 2025 at the age of 88. Wife of the late George Gonzales Sr. by first marriage and the late Richard Ridings by second marriage. Mother of George Gonzales Jr. (Jolyn), Melissa Forrest, and the late Christine Rivers (Timmy). Sister of the late Archie Bennett (the late Alice), Mary Anne Palmisano (the late Frank), and Diane Brady (the late Sidney). Daughter of the late Archie Bennett Sr. and Mary Dimm Bennett. Also survived by 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandson along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She retired from the Jefferson Parish Public School System and was a devout member of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Church in Westwego.

Visitation will be at Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Boulevard, Marrero, LA on Friday, April 4, 2025 from 10 AM to 1 PM. A Funeral Mass will follow. Interment Our Lady of Prompt Succor Mausoleum.
