Branden James Plaisance

Branden James “BJ” Plaisance passed away on Friday, August 12, 2011 at the age of 32. Beloved and loving son of Joey J. Plaisance and Joy B. Plaisance. Brother of Brandi A. Plaisance. Grandson of Nathan and Sylvia Plaisance and the late Eno “EJ” Barbier and Rosemary S. Barbier. Nephew of Chris and Brad Plaisance, Amy Ricks, Jane and Phil Maronge, Don and Teri Barbier. Cousin of Jennifer and Eric Plaisance, Lauren St. Pierre, Leigh-Anne and Breigh-Anne Johnson, Dana Maronge, Leah Kasten, Don Barbier, Jr. and Mark Bell. BJ was a lifelong resident of Marrero, LA. He was a graduate of Jesuit High School, Class of 1996. He was a former student of LSU and a present student at Holy Cross College, majoring in Theology. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, 3rd Degree. Relatives and friends, also employees of US Postal Service and Avondale Shipyard are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Sunday, August 14, 2011 from 7PM until 10PM. Visitation will resume at the funeral home on Monday, August 15, 2011 from 8AM until 9:30AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Visitation of Our Lady Catholic Church, Ames Blvd., Marrero, LA on Monday at 10AM. Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, Knights of Columbus Post 7226 or Masses preferred in BJ’s memory. Information: 504-366-4343.
