Brenda Rome Cicotte of Gretna, La. passed away due to Alzheimer's disease on Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at the age of 64. She was the beloved wife of the late John E. Cicotte, Sr., loving mother of John E. Cicotte, Jr., (Brandi) and daughter Anna Lynn Cicotte, loving grandmother of Jacob, Aliana, Skylar and Dax Cicotte. Brenda was the daughter of the late Anna Mae Graffato Rome and the late Ernest J. Rome. She is survived by two sisters, Lenda R. Graffeo, (Terry, Sr.) and Gertrude R. Bacile. She is the granddaughter of the late Gustave Rome and Jane Rome Sanchez and her second husband Morris Sanchez, Loretta Sanchez Graffato and Henry A Graffato, Sr. and the daughter-in -law to Shirley Dugas. She is also survived by loving brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Brenda is a 1969 graduate from West Jefferson High School and a 1999 graduate from Delgado Community College. Brenda's prior occupation was a Dental Assistance 1969 - 1983, Founder of Project Step, member with Special Unified Bowlers Bowling League, Special Olympics & American Legion. Relatives and friends of the family, employees of Can U.S.A, Forman Perry Watkins, employees of Project Step are invited to attend visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Saturday, August 30, 2014, from 9a.m. until 11a.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 11a.m. Interment will be in Hook and Ladder Cemetery, Gretna, LA. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Project Step, 1200 Curtis Street, Harvey, La. 70058.
