Brenda Domingue Rogers

Brenda Domingue Rogers entered into eternal rest with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on May 8, 2024 after bravely battling ALS. She was the beloved wife of Michael Rogers for 53 years. She was a fiercely devoted and loving mother to Jeffrey Rogers (Ashley), Paul Rogers (Kiley), and  Michelle Slawek Jones (David). Brenda was grandmother (Grammy) to Ashtyn Rogers, Abigail Rogers, Annabella Rogers, Emma Quinto (Peyton), Ethan Rogers, Zachary Campbell, Madeline Jones, Caroline Jones, David Jones, and the late Izabella Rogers (Jeffrey and Ashley). She was the middle daughter of the late Albert Domingue and Josephine Zeringue Domingue and is survived by her two sisters, Betty Cooper (Michael) and Melanie Rochelle (Duane). She was a proud aunt and great-aunt to many. Brenda was 72 years old and lifelong resident of Westwego, LA. 

Brenda was a true "servant" and mentor to many. She was a beautician and later worked 10 years as an ASL sign-language interpreter at John Ehret High School before retiring to help raise her grandchildren. In her beloved Westwego community, she served as the Vice President of the Westwego Beautification Committee for many years and was an active member of her church (First Baptist Westwego) where she faithfully served her Lord and fellow church body.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the Ochsner ALS clinic, the Team Gleason Foundation and Guardian Angels Hospice Care for the support, generosity and extraordinary care.

Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at First Baptist Church of Westwego, 703 Ave. B, Westwego, LA on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at 12 PM. Visitation will be held at church from 9 AM until service time. Interment will be at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA. Mothe Funeral Homes handled arrangements.
