Brian Andrew Lee, Sr., age 59, died Tuesday, March 3, 2015 as a result of a battle with cancer. Born November 24, 1955 in New Orleans to Roy Manley Lee, Jr and Gaile Worley Lee. He was an accomplished school teacher and lifelong resident of Algiers. He loved playing music, watching the Saints, and spending time with his family. Brian graduated from Jesuit High School in 1973. In 1980 he graduated with honors from the University of New Orleans with a Bachelor of Arts in History. In 1984, he graduated from the University of New Orleans with a Bachelor of Arts in Education. He taught elementary school in Orleans and Jefferson Parishes for thirty years. He was an active member of Holy Name of Mary Parish where he played piano for the music ministry. Brian Lee is survived by his wife, Robin Thompson Lee, and two children, Brian Andrew Lee, Jr. and Corinne Gaile Marie Lee, his sister, Diana Lee McDaniel, nephew Craig McDaniel, Jr., aunts Winifred June Worley and Lynn Gwynette Worley, and predeceased by his uncle Joseph Michael Worley. Brian is remembered lovingly by the entire Thompson family. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church, 400 Verret St., Algiers, LA at 11am.
