Bryce Jared Edgerson, Sr.

Bryce Jared Edgerson Sr., beloved native and life-long resident of Port Sulphur, LA, entered eternal rest on May 30th, 2023 at the age of 46. Bryce, lovingly known as “Daiwa”, born December 27, 1976, to Elton Edgerson Jr. and the late Lorraine Edgerson. Bryce leaves to cherish his memories with his loving wife April Edgerson and four children, Briee, Bryce Jr. (B.J.), Brayden, and Braxton. He is also survived by his siblings Erica Gaines (Bruce), Jeovannah Edgerson, Cashara Stephens, Eldrich Edgerson Sr. (Charlotte), and Elton Edgerson III (Bridgette). Preceded in death by his sister, Cassandra Edgerson and brothers, Edward, Ellis, and Jonathan Edgerson. Bryce was also the uncle to a host of nieces and nephews, friend to many, and family to all that knew and loved him. 

Bryce a graduate of his beloved Port Sulphur High School, BEAT THE BRONCHOS! Ya’ll know the rest! Bryce began his employment in the oilfield, working for French’s Welding, later becoming an operator for Hilcorp. Bryce a avid football fan, #67, “in his good days,” as he would say. Lifelong Pittsburgh Steelers fan and BBQ master. Bryce enjoyed his time spent on his trawl boat and also being “Betty Bryce” in the kitchen with his baking abilities. Bryce was well known for his sense of humor, love of food, kind spirit, and the ability to say whatever whenever. He formed many relationship throughout his lifetime, those of which will never be forgotten. In Bryce’s famous words “Bad grass don’t die.” His memory will continue to provide a light in all the lives he has touched and the grass will forever grow in his memory. 

Family and friends are invited to join in the memorial for Bryce Jared Edgerson Sr. at Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA, 70058 on Saturday June 3rd, 2023 from 2pm-4pm. Bryce will forever be remembered and deeply missed for his laughter, words, and the smiles he has provided us within his time on earth. His memory will continue to provide peace and solitude in this time of sorrow.
