Buddy Carl Keating

Buddy Carl Keating passed away on February 15, 2015 at the age of 84 years. Beloved husband for 64 years to Audrey Singer Keating. Father of Elizabeth K. Robert and Darrel K. Folse (husband Nelson). Grandfather of Traci Folse, Arden Robert and Ashlynn Robert. Brother of Elva K. Labat and Lorraine K. Mercer. Son of the late Landry and Mathilda Laurent Keating. Also survived by other loving relatives and friends. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and resided in Luling, LA for the past 59 years.
Buddy served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. As a Sergeant 1st Class, he saw battle from 1952 to 1953 and was the recipent of the Purple Heart, two Bronze Stars and earned the coveted Combat Infantryman’s Badge.
Buddy retired from Monsanto Chemical Plant after 37 years of service. He was a member of the American Legion, was Past District Commander of VFW Post 3750 and was awarded All District Commander in 1973. As a loyal fan of Tulane Athletics, Buddy was a long-time member of the Tulane Green Backers Booster Club and the Ray Hester Club.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Friday, February 20, 2015 from 10 AM to 1 PM, followed by a eulogy.
