Byron Curt Wainwright

Byron Curt Wainwright passed away suddenly at West Jefferson Hospital on July 18, 2011 at the age of 57. He was a resident of Avondale, LA for 40 years and a graduate of West Jefferson High School. A dedicated employee of the Jefferson Parish School Board as the TV Studio Production Manager for over 30 years. He was also a faithful employee at the Super Dome, Arena, and Zephyr Field for many years. His interests were his family, the Saints, the Hornets, music, traveling, and fishing. He was a loyal husband, dedicated father, and outstanding “Poppy” to his grandsons. Byron was the beloved husband of Roxanne Clark Wainwright. Father of Christopher L. Wainwright and stepfather of Michael Daly (wife Melissa) and Christine Daly Sellers (husband Jeremy). Grandfather of Hobie Young IV and Nicholas Daly. Son of the late Curtis and Edna Wainwright. Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend the Funeral Service in the Chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Friday, June 24, 2011 at 1 PM. Interment Restlawn Park Cemetery, Avondale, LA. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 7 PM until 10 PM and Friday morning from 8 AM until funeral time.
