Calvin Gerald Coll, passed away on Sunday, May 29, 2011 at the age of 61. He was the son of the late Audrey and Gerald T. Coll, Jr. Husband of the late June Coll. Step brother of the late Fred McGaughey. He is survived by his fiance’, Linda Barber; her daughter Donna Kiraly (Husband Richie), and Donna’s children, Dillon and Nathan Kiraly; brothers and sisters, Christine (Husband Philip), Dorothy (Husband Arthur), Frank (Wife Cathy), Robert (Wife Debra), Gerald (Wife Brenda), John, and Alvin Coll; his step brother and sisters, Helen Rauch (Husband Warren), Jerry McGaughey (Wife Emily), James McGaughey, Cynthia Patterson (Husband John) and a host of other relatives, friends, nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Calvin was a member of the Terrytown Volunteer Fire Department, a Police Officer for the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office for 30 years and Chapter 550 of the Vietnam Veterans of America. He served his country with the United States Navy for 5 years. Relatives and friends, also Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Wednesday, June 1, 2011 from 6PM until 11PM. Visitation will resume at the funeral home on Thursday from 9AM until 11AM. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11AM at the funeral home. Interment will be in Restlawn Park Cemetery, Avondale, LA. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to be made in Calvin’s memory to the American Cancer Society.
