Calvin John Gros, Sr. passed away on Wednesday, July 25, 2012. Beloved husband of Ronda Guerrera Gros. Father of Calvin J. Gros, Jr. and Kyle J. Gros. Son of Viola Matherne Thibodeaux (James R.) and the late Novile Gros. Brother of Verly Davies, Molly Gladney, Alvin, Irvin, Ernest, Linda and Horace Gros, the late Joyce Shurley, Novile “Sonny” Gros, Yvonne Bourg and Virgis McBride. Survived by many nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephew. He was an outstanding father, husband and friend. His heart and smile shall remain in our memories and his caring and unique nature shall forever remain in our heart. Calvin was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. Age 56. Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend a Funeral Mass in the Chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Monday, July 30, 2012 at 11:30AM. Interment in Restlawn Park Cemetery, Avondale, LA. Visitation will be Sunday, July 29, 2012 from 6PM until 10PM and resume Monday from 8AM until funeral time.
