Camille Gruntz Hebert died on March 15, 2012 at her residence. She was 85 years of age, was a native and longtime resident of Algiers, LA and most recently, resided in Minden, LA. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Ludwig “Pork Chop” Hebert. Mother of Joseph L. Hebert, Jr. (wife Lorie Sanday Hebert), Janell H. White (husband Richard Sr.), Cindy H. Erwin (husband Kenny) and the late Pamela Ann and Barry John Hebert. Daughter of the late Alphonse A. Gruntz and Lillian Hunn Gruntz. Sister of Emelda Charlet (husband Harold), Althea Heitmeier (husband Lloyd Rae "Spider"), Rita Claire Abbott (husband Granville), the late Rose Marie O’Dowd (husband George), Anna Mae Torres Robichaux (husbands, the late Maurice Torres and the late Roland Robicheaux), Elise Juanita Gruntz and Alphonse Joseph Gruntz (wife the late Barbara). Deeply loved and survived by her grandchildren, Raquel Davis, Richard White, Jr., Ryan J. White, Brian P. Boulas, Candice Boulas,, Brooke Erwin, Christina Kloppenburg, Amber Blocker, Joshua Hebert, Joseph Hebert, III, Elizabeth Hebert and three step-grandchildren, Nick, Stephanie and Brandon. Also survived by 16 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass on Monday, March 19, 2012 for 11 AM at Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church in Algiers Point. Interment will follow at McDonogh Cemetery. Visitation will be held at MOTHE FUNERAL HOMES, 1300 Vallette Street, Algiers, LA on Sunday from 6 PM to 10 PM and Monday from 8 AM to 10:30 AM.
