Carol Joseph "Banjo" Camardelle, a long time resident of Marrero, LA. Born in Westwego, LA on February 6, 1935 and passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at the age of 80 years. Survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Joyce Ann Boudreaux Camardelle, his four sons, Wayne Michael Camardelle, Randy Paul Camardelle (Nettla Cheramie), Keith Anthony Camardelle (Beth Levy), Danny Joseph Camardelle, Sr. (Dawn Ranatza), and sister, Joy Camardelle Bellanger, (late Aubrey Bellanger). Preceded by death, father, Irvin Camardelle, mother, Olivia Camardelle, sister, Shirley Camardelle Novak (Hank Novak) and brother, Garry Camardelle (Royal Moll). He has 11 grandchildren: Christopher Camardelle (John Porter), Jenny Camardelle Comeaux (Andrew Comeaux), Heather Walker, Brooke Cheramie, Carly Lind Biehl (Casey Biehl), Eric Camardelle (Erica Hazlewood), Renee Camardelle Coltrin ( Matthew Coltrin, Sr.), Carolyn, Lucy, Danica and Danny Camardelle, Jr. and 7 great grandchildren, Amelia Mae and Olivia Comeaux, Jase Griffin, Eric Camardelle II, Edson Camardelle, Matthew "Clayton" Coltrin, Jr. and Charlie Coltrin. Also survived by beloved sister in laws, brother in laws, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. He was a proud sergeant in the United States Marines, a devout Catholic, avid fisherman, outdoorsman, and woodworker. He worked for the U.S. Department of Wildlife and Fisheries, Avondale Shipyard, and as a licensed barber. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. John Bosco Catholic Church, 2114 Woodmere Dr., Harvey, LA 70058 on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at 11am. Visitation will be held at the church from 9am until 11am. The family would like to give special thanks to Heart of Hospice for taking care of Mr. Camardelle throughout his illness.
