Carolyn Tucker Gautreaux

Carolyn Tucker Gautreaux entered into eternal rest on December 10, 2024. Beloved wife of Retired Judge Herbert Gautreaux. Beloved daughter Christina Daigle and son Frank Scariano. Grandmother of Hailey Calderone (Colby), Colton Scariano (Keelie), and Dylan Scariano. She adored her Great-grandchildren Rylan, Coben, and Wyatt. Daughter of the late Thomas Coulton Jr. and Beulah Hardin Coulton. Sister of Thomas Coulton and Jerry Tucker. Best friend of Lydia Hodges. Age 77 years, a native of New Orleans, and resident of Barataria, LA. 

In 1990 she sold her insurance agency when Herbert retired as judge. Together they set off on the Summer Time, a 44 ft Gulfstar boat that they lived on for 17 years. She became a licensed 100 ton captain, as well as a dive master and Herbert became a dive instructor. They dinner cruised, bed and a breakfast, fishing trips, and taught diving off the boat. She additionally became an avid pilot as he was a flight instructor and they flew over the Caribbean and Bahamas, and all of Florida. She was also an rug hooking teacher, and built custom biminies for many local boats. She will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by all. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Liver Foundation in Carolyn's memory. Mothe Funeral Homes handled arrangements.
