Carolyn Muscarello Nielsen entered into eternal rest on June 2, 2024.

Beloved mother of Christi Ann Emanuel (Bob), Carol Jean “CJ” Nielsen, David Nielsen (Christal), and Catherine Dube. Grandmother of Robert Emanuel (Rikki), Jonathan Emanuel (Amanda), Michelle Cemo (Corey), Jessica Bourgeois (Ryan), Christopher McAdams, Whitney Blaine Braddock (James), Joshua Nielsen (Ally), Jordan Nielsen (Jennifer Portier), Ryan Dube (Selina), and Lauren Dube. Great-grandmother of Eliza, Zeke, Benjamin, Rosalie, Miles, Evangeline, Oliver, Jennie, Mea, Noah, Balie, Logan, Amelia, Jillian, Vivian, Mason, Landry and Stevie. Daughter of Frank Muscarello and Rosalie Alfonso Muscarello. Sister of the late Mamie Schiro.

Age 88 years, a native of Hammond, and lifelong resident of Belle Chasse, LA. Carolyn graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University and received her Masters from University of Holy Cross College. She worked until retirement as a librarian with Jefferson Parish Schools. She was an avid Scrabble player, read as Mother Goose to many children, and was also a fan of Harry Potter books. 

Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend the Funeral Visitation at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Belle Chasse, LA on Saturday, June 15, 2024 from 10 AM until Funeral Mass time at 12 PM. Interment Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cemetery, Belle Chasse, LA. Mothe Funeral Homes handled arrangements.
