Carolyn Pertuit Vegas

Carolyn “LOU” Pertuit Vegas, age 79, peacefully passed away on Saturday, March 15, 2025, after a long courageous battle with misdiagnosed lung cancer. She shared a life full of love and laughter with everyone who knew her! She always lit up the room with her infectious spirit and humorous attitude !!!

She was the devoted wife of her beloved late husband, Merlin P Vegas Sr. Most loving mother/mother-in-law of Michelle & Tim Conrad, Merlin Jr & Jade Vegas, and Monica & Shane Allemore. The absolute BEST maw-maw Lou of Timothy & Christi Rhoto, Megan & Cody Encardes, Shiloh & Antonelly Diaz, Mason Allemore, Maxton Allemore, and the late Rykin Vegas. Greatest great-maw-maw Lou of Adam Matherne (Maddi), Tyler (Leah), Taylor (Gabi), Cameron and Gabriella Rhoto, Zana, Taylyn, Cody Jr, Eastyn, and Madden Encardes. Wonderful great-great maw-maw Lou of LaLeesha Lerma. Daughter of the late Johnny J. & Lois D. Pertuit Jr. Daughter-in-law of the late Eugene J. and Eva R. Vegas. Sister of Allen Pertuit (Debbie) Wayne Pertuit Sr. (Sherry) the late John Pertuit III (Vernice) the late Laura Pertuit, the late Linda Autin (late Alex “Bozo”), and the late Ann Pertuit. Sister-in-law of the late Eugene Vegas (Nancy), Lorraine Peterson, Carroll Vegas (Myrtle), Beryl Whitney (the late Rene), and the late Cynthia Vegas.

She will be held in the hearts of her many nieces and nephews known to them as Aunt Lou (Lucibelle). She was a bonus Mom and maw-maw to many and will forever be missed by them and countless other relatives and friends. Everyone loved LouLou as she also loved everyone, and we all let Lou be Lou!!!

We as a family will honor Moms final wishes of having no services and a PRIVATE burial.
