Carrie Ann Rivere Thomassie

Carrie Ann Rivere Thomassie born September 17, 1947 was a resident of Barataria, La and passed away on Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at the age of 65. She was an employee of the Jefferson Parish School system for 24 years. She was a long time parishioner of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Jean Lafitte, where one of her great pleasures was teaching Catechism for 25 years. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was greatly loved and will be missed by all. Carrie was a true angel on earth. Carrie was the beloved wife of Ronald Thomassie of 49 years. She is survived by 3 daughters Christy T. Parria, husband Louis Parria Jr, Rhonda A. Thomassie and Edna T. Rojas, husband Kerry Rojas Jr. Also survived by seven grandchildren, Louis Parria III, Ronald Parria, Misty P. Judice, Brittany Rojas, Kerry Rojas III, Destiny Parria, Cain Rojas along with seven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by brothers and a sister, Joseph A. Rivere, Kenneth Rivere, Lloyd Rivere, George Rivere and Patsy Morales, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Carrie was preceded in life by her parents Joseph Antoine Rivere, Carrie Agnes Thibodeaux Rivere and sister, Doris Marie Barattini.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass to be Celebrated at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Crown Point, La on Saturday, February 9, 2013 for 1:30 PM. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, La on Friday from 6 PM until Saturday at 1 PM.
