Cecile Para Cheramie

Cecile Para Cheramie, of Bridge City, La, was born on June 22, 1931 to the late Alexie Para Sr and Lydia Duval Para and died peacefully on Thursday Sept. 12, 2013 at the age of 82. She was the beloved wife of the late Lester J. Cheramie Jr. She is survived by her children Joseph Cheramie (Linda), Martha Bourge, Bonnie Dufrene (Dewey) and Lester J. Cheramie III. Grandsons - Duane Bourge (Mindy), David Volion (Christina), Blaine Dufrene (Alissa), Blair and Blake Volion. Granddaughter- Brandy Dufrene. Great-Granddaughters- Madison Bourge, Cailee and Vivian Volion. Great-Grandsons- Brice Volion and Brennan Dufrene. Also survived by her sisters Lillian Frickey and Lois LeCompte (Philip), Sister-in-laws- Anna Lee Para, Elaine Para, Audrey Para and a host of nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by daughters Vivian Volion and Brenda Cheramie, and her son-in-law Camille Bourge. Brothers Lawrence Para, Alexie Para Jr., Merlin Para and Adam Para, brother-in-law Babe Frickey, and her sister-in-law Audrey Para. We would like to give a special thanks to all the staff of Marrero Healthcare Center, and Beth at Ameracare Hospice for all the care that she provided in her last days.
