Cecile Reiss Haydel, age 87 entered into eternal rest on Thursday, December 18, 2014. Beloved wife of the late Winton J. Haydel. Daughter of the late Louis Reiss and Emily Bourg Reiss. Loving and devoted mother of Wayne Degeyter (Pat), Harold Degeyter, Jr. (Janice), Pat Guidry Badeaux (the late Dennis) and the late David Guidry (Survived by Polly). Beloved Stepmother of Stanley Villneurve (Faye), Winton Lavigne (Gail), Cecile Keller (the late Stanley), Jo Ann Longernecker and Debra Bayles (Steve). Sister of the late Bernard Reiss, Francis Reiss, Charles Reiss, Norman Reiss and Betty Guillot. Devoted friend of Barbara Roberds. Godmother of Gail Conley and Wanda Urban. Cecile is also survived by 9 Grandchildren, 11 Great Grandchildren, 1 Great Great Grandchild, 15 Step Grandchildren, 32 Step Great Grandchildren, 6 Step Great Great Grandchildren as well as a host of nieces and nephews. Cecile was born in New Orleans, LA and was a lifelong resident of Marrero, LA. Her favorite hobby was BINGO. She enjoyed playing BINGO and her Senior activities. Members of Golden Agers of Marrero, Estelle Senior Center, JPCA of Marrero, Woman’s Auxiliary 7307, Employees of CIVEO Offshore Marine and Stanley’s Electric are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Sunday, December 21, 2014 from 6PM until 10PM. Visitation will resume at the funeral home on Monday, December 22, 2014 from 8AM until 11AM. A Funeral Mass will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 11AM. Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Gretna, LA.
