Cecile Robert Verret Slocum passed away on June 5, 2013 at the age of 87 years. Beloved wife of the late Houston Slocum by second marriage and the late Joseph J. Verret by first marriage. Mother of Sheila Verret Champagne and her husband, Larry. Grandmother of Shawn Champagne and Brent Champagne, Sr. Great-grandmother of Kaci Champagne, Brent Champagne, Jr., Liam Champagne and the late Haiden Champagne. Sister of the late Daniel Robert. Daughter of the late Augustin and Beatrice Pitre Robert.
She retired from Entergy Corp. (LP & L), was a longtime resident of Westwego, LA, a former member of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Church and the Westwego Golden Agers.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Monday, June 10, 2013 from 9 AM to 9:45 AM.
