Charles “Sonny” Edward Bell, Jr. a superintendent with Monsanto for 30 years and Silgan Corp for 4 years, passed away Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at the age of 76. Husband of Ellen Manasco for the past 25 years. Husband of the late Sue Lawson Bell from a first marriage. Son of the late Charles Edward Bell, Sr. and Geraldine Adams Bell. Father of Deborah McGowan (Steve), Kyle Bell (Carissa), Kelly Mullen, John Bell (Stephanie). Step father of Donald Jr. (Annette), Mark (Laurie), Lori, Darryl (Karmann) and Glynn Samaha. Nephew of Frances “ Tankie” Scales. Also survived by 22 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. A native of Eldorado, AR and a resident of Luling, LA. Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend a Visitation at Holy Family Catholic Church, Luling LA on Monday, October 10, 2011 from 9 AM until funeral mass time at 11AM. Interment will follow in St. Charles Cemetery, Luling, LA. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Holy Family Catholic Church, Luling and the American Cancer Society.
