Charles Fernandez, Jr. passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2015. Beloved husband of Dottye Scanio Fernandez. Preceded in death by Wilma Stagni Fernandez by second marriage, and Betty Dessens Fernandez by first marriage. Son of the late Charles Fernandez, Sr. and Armeta Franck Fernandez. Brother of Eileen “Leenie” Guidry (Phil). Father of Jean F. Burton, Michael C. Fernandez (Lori), Kenneth A. Fernandez (Karen), James P. Fernandez (Denise), Susan F. Triche (Keith). Grandfather of Deana, Darren, Whitney, Alix, Kristy, Patrick, Chad, and Ashley.
Great-grandfather of 11. Also survived by his loving dog, Sherrie.
Age 83 years and a resident of Gretna and Harahan, LA. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict and was stationed in Thule Air Force Base in Greenland. He retired after over 35 years as Vice-President of Data Processing with Louisiana Gas Services. He loved all sports, especially LSU and the New Orleans Saints.
Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Monday, March 9, 2015 at 1:30 PM.
