Charles Ellis Gautreaux

Charles Ellis Gautreaux entered into eternal rest on December 25, 2024. Beloved husband of Deanna Dubois Gautreaux of Gretna, LA, his high school sweetheart of 57 years. Father of Julie Gautreaux and the late DeeDee Gautreaux. Son of the late Ivy Gauthreaux and Edith Parr Gauthreaux. Age 77 years, a native of Westwego, and resident of Gretna, LA. Charles was a graduate of West Jefferson High School 1967 and served in the United States Army 3 years as Sgt. E-5 in Vietnam, Germany, and Anniston, AL Fort McClellan. He worked for Winn Dixie for 58 years. He was a member of St. Anthony Church, Gretna; Krewe of Endymion for 43 years; Saints Touchdown Club and season ticket holder since 1967; and American Legion Post 378. His life was full. He enjoyed spending time at the Fairgrounds and OTB Horse Racing with friends, trips to Las Vegas, Yankees games, Raiders games, and his remote control. 

Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the Chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expy, Harvey, LA on Monday, December 30, 2024 at 1:30 PM. Interment Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA. Visitation will be held from 11 AM until funeral time.
