Charles John Joly passed away peacefully on June 3, 2024 at the age of 82 years. Beloved husband of the late Linda Mary Peralta Joly and loving companion of Jackie Daigle. Loving father of Leah Mary Joly. Son of the late Leo and Conchetta Mariano Joly. Brother of the late Peter Joly and Linda Ortiz. Also survived by other loving relatives and friends.
Charles served his country in the U.S. Navy and was discharged as a Boatswain’s Mate First Class (BM1) after 11 years of service. He retired as a rigger with Avondale Shipyards after 33 years and also worked for 25 years with UNO in their security department. Charles was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will take place at Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Boulevard, Marrero, LA on Thursday, June 13, 2024 from 9am to 11am. A Memorial Mass will be Celebrated in the funeral home chapel.
