Charles P. Simoneaux entered into eternal rest on November 21, 2024, at the age of 88. Beloved husband of Sandra Acosta Simoneaux. Son of the late Clay Joseph Simoneaux Sr. and Pearl Hebert Simoneaux. Loving father of Torrie Simoneaux Haas (Mark). Beloved grandfather of Rachael Haas Rayes (Steven) and the late Matthew Steven Haas. Great-grandfather of Wyatt Matthew Rayes and Sawyer James Rayes. Brother of Betty Simoneaux Schwab and the late Clay J. Simoneaux Jr., Joyce Simoneaux Oubre (Blaine), and Carol Simoneaux. Charles is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Charles served his country while enlisted in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany. He worked for Avondale Shipyard as a welder and a welder foreman and retired in 2001 after 39 years of service. He served his community as a member of Woodmen of the World. One of his signature projects included his contribution to the development of Camp Woodmen, a youth campsite in Abbeville, La.
Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, La. on Saturday, November 30, 2024, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. A funeral Mass will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Gate of Heaven Mausoleum, 596 Ave A, Westwego, Louisiana.
