Charles Joseph Stephens, Jr.

Charles Joseph Stephens, Jr., a host at Mother’s Restaurant for many years, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, December 21, 2013 at the age of 66. Beloved and loving husband of 46 years to Evelyn Price Stephens. Son of the late Charles Joseph Stephens, Sr. and Anna Lee Orkus Stephens. Loving and devoted father of Charles Joseph Stephens III (Wife Janet) and Michelle Stephens Jones (Tommy, Jr.). Grandfather of Tommy Jones III. Brother of Cynthia Richards and the late Milton Stephens, Sharon Epperson and Mary Ellen Ehret. Son-in-law of the late Majesta and Adriel Price. Charles is also survived by brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. Charles was employed by Eastern Electric for 32 years. He was a member of the Irish Channel Marching Club in New Orleans for 12 years. He was born in New Orleans and resided in Marrero. A visitation will be held at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Thursday, December 26, 2013 from 6PM until 10PM. Visitation will resume at the funeral home on Friday, December 27, 2013 from 9AM until 11AM. A Funeral Mass will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 11AM. Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA.
