Charles Joseph Vedros Jr.

February 25, 1937 — February 4, 2015

Charles J. Vedros, Jr., passed away on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at the age of 77
years. He is the beloved husband of Glenda D. Vedros. Former husband of Sigrid
Enright Vedros. Son of the late Viva Lancon Vedros and Charles J. Vedros, Sr. Father of
Tiffanie V. Roppolo (Nick) and Charles J. Vedros, III. Grandfather of Rebecca L.
Roppolo and Emily E. Roppolo. Stepfather of David Brignac (Tina), Kim Sattler (Jeff),
Cheryl Guarino (Dennis), Alison Shakely (Roger), Scott Brignac (Michele), Kurt Brignac
(Kitty), and numerous step grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is a native of
Algiers, LA and a resident of Laplace, LA for the past 23 years. He is a graduate of
Martin Behrman High School and Delgado Community College, a U.S. Marine Corps
veteran and a member of American Legion Post No. 218. In addition, he was a retired
member of the New Orleans Fire Department.
Relatives and Friends of the family are invited to attend a Memorial Mass at Mothe
Funeral Home, 1300 Vallette St, Algiers, LA on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at 1pm.
A Memorial Visitation will be held Saturday morning from 10am until 1pm.
Interment will be private. Family and friends may view and sign the online guest book at
