Cherlyn D Hannan

Cherlyn D. Hannan passed away on Sunday, July 2, 2023, at the age of 72. She was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on February 7,1951, to Louisa D. Dupre and the late Norman J. Dupre.

Loving wife to her husband of 53 years, Henry Hannan III. Mother to her children, Henry “Hank” Hannan IV, the beautiful Jessica Hannan, and her beloved shih tzu “LuLu”. Mawmaw to Steven Rivet and Skylar Hannan, and great mawmaw to Karsen Lopez. Cherlyn was sister to Darren Dupre (Suzie) and sister-in-law to Bobby Hannan (Debbie), Karen Pellegrin (Rickie), Kelly Hannan (Terrilyn), Laura Preston (George), Terry Hannan (late Lisa), and Don Hannan (Kim). She is also survived by her beautiful mother, Louisa D. Dupre as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family, including her lifelong and forever friend, Rebecca Williams. 

The Hannan family expresses their greatest gratitude to the doctors and staff at West Jefferson Medical Center, University Medical Center, and Amedisys Home Health Care.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Visitation for Cherlyn at Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, La on Saturday, July 8, 2023 from 11am to 1:30pm. Funeral services will follow in the funeral home chapel at 1:30pm. Interment at Westlawn Cemetery in Gretna, La.
