Cheryl Ann Diodene

Cheryl V. Diodene, 73, of Harvey, LA, passed away on Monday, December 16, 2024, surrounded by her family.

Cheryl’s most cherished role in life was as a beloved wife, mother, and “granny.” She will be deeply missed by her husband of 54 years, John W. Diodene Sr. Cheryl was the daughter of the late Raymond Herbert Victoriano and Janet Terrebonne Victoriano Zeringue. She is survived by her sisters, Shelia Victoriano Benoit (husband Darell Benoit) and Kathy Victoriano Mouledous (husband Alex Mouledous Sr.), and by her loving children: John W. Diodene Jr. (wife Wendy Parfait Diodene) and Rebecca Lynn Diodene.Cheryl was the beloved “granny” to Austin P. Diodene and Brittany Diodene. She was also a cherished aunt to Amy Benoit Sylvester (husband Jeremy Sylvester), Alex Mouledous Jr. (wife Lauren Lizana Mouledous), and Ryan Fontenot (wife Tonya Keller Fontenot), and a great aunt to all their many children.

A native of New Orleans, Louisiana, Cheryl was previously a resident of Belle Chasse and Luling, Louisiana. She had a dedicated career with LP&L, St. Charles Parish Hospital, and Dr. Serio’s office in Belle Chasse. She was a proud member of the Expressway bowling league and enjoyed being an avid fisher, often accompanied by her fishing partner in crime, the late Betty Boudreaux of Harvey. Cheryl was also well known for her delicious Cajun cooking, which she shared with all who knew her.

Her hobbies included fishing, cross-stitching, playing rummy, crocheting, and bowling.

Cheryl will be loved and dearly missed by all who knew her.

A memorial service will be held at Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expy, Harvey, LA 70058, on Friday, December 27, 2024. Family visitation will begin at 11:30 am, followed by visitation for friends at noon. The funeral service will start at 1:30 pm, with interment at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Gretna, LA.
