Cheryl Whitlock Matrana passed away peacefully on March 5, 2024. She was 68 years of age, and a resident of Harvey, LA. Beloved wife of Nicholas Matrana Jr. Loving mother of Kenneth G. Matrana and Joyell Matrana Rousselle (Paul). Grandmother of Savannah Rousselle, Arianna Rousselle, and P.J. Rousselle Jr. She is preceded in death by her parents, Sarah Matrana Whitlock and Kenneth J. Whitlock. Also survived by other loving relatives and friends.
Cheryl worked as a nurse for many years at the former Jo Ellen Smith Hospital and later at Wynhoven Healthcare Center. She also worked in home health. Her life was surrounded by compassion and helping others in a time of need. She will be sadly missed.
A visitation will be held at Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Saturday, March 9, 2024 from 11 am to 1:30 pm. Services will follow in the funeral home chapel. Interment Westlawn Memorial Park in Gretna.
