Chester J. Hanks, Jr. age 62 entered into eternal rest on Friday, November 7, 2014. Beloved husband of the late Sylvia Rose Hanks. Son of the late Chester J. Hanks, Sr. and Iva Mae Cooper Hanks. Devoted father of Dustin A. Hanks (Kandice), Ashley M. Hanks and Nicole Simon. Grandfather of Jace Weileman, Jaxon Hanks, Preston Hanks and Jasmine Simon. Brother of Linda Carmouche. Brother-in-law of Andrew and Marrette LeBlanc. Beloved friend of Judy Collet. Chester is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He is a native of Bridge City and a resident of Westwego, LA. Chester worked for Bethlehem Steel and SOTEC. The family would like to thank the Physicians and Nurses at Touro for their care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made at any Capital One Bank-Chester Hanks, Jr. Memorial Fund. Relatives and friends, also employees of Bethlehem Steel and SOTEC are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 from 6PM until 11PM. Visitation will resume at the funeral home on Wednesday from 8AM until 11AM. A Funeral Mass will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 11AM. Interment will be in Our Lady of Prompt Succor Mausoleum, Westwego, LA.
