Chris Michael Vicari

April 2, 1965 — November 23, 2013

Chris Michael Vicari, age 48, a resident of New Orleans, died on Saturday, November 23, 2013 as a result of injuries sustained in a car accident. Chris was the beloved son of Guy Anthony Vicari and the late Barbara Falgout Vicari. Preceded in death by his grandparents Salvador and Marie Vicari and Guy and Irene Falgout, Sr. He is survived by his sisters Donna Vicari, Lesley Knapp (Thomas), Beth Fisher (Ric), and Julie Vicari. He is also survived by nephews Ryan and James Knapp, step-mother Mary Beth Vicari, step-siblings Stephen Shaw, John Shaw and Maria Archer, and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins. Chris was loved by his longtime girlfriend Amanda Dawson, numerous friends, co-workers of Pacorini Metals and his faithful dog Zeus McAllister. Chris graduated from O. Perry Walker High School and earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Southeastern Louisiana University. He was a kindhearted, loving and generous soul who was adored by all who knew him. Always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need, Chris had a sharp wit and a heart of gold. He was a lifelong Saints and LSU fan and a competitive pool player. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a celebration of Chris’ life at Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Blvd, Marrero, LA on Friday, November 29, 2013 from 9:00 am until 11:00 am. A Funeral Mass in the Chapel at 11:00 am. Burial immediately following at Westlawn Cemetery. Donations may be made in Chris’ memory to The Covenant House at 611 N. Rampart St., New Orleans, LA 70112.
