Christopher Boyd Hawkins, born in Hattiesburg, MS and a long-time resident of Marrero, LA, passed away on Friday, August 31, 2012 at the age of 35. A graduate of John Ehret High School, he received an Associate of Business degree from Delgado and continued on to the University of Alabama in pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree while accruing 16 years of work experience as a welder at Avondale Shipyard.

Preceding him in death is his father, Wallace B. Hawkins, III, his maternal grandparents, Stephen J and Hildegarde L. Emmett and his paternal grandfather, Wallace B. Hawkins, Jr., all of Hattiesburg, MS.

He will always be remembered by his mother, Kathleen Emmett Hawkins, sisters Monica (Randy) Crout of Thibodaux, LA, Amanda (Chris) Menard of Marrero, LA, and Sandra (Charles) Todaro of Lockport, LA, niece Victoria Todaro, nephews Charles Todaro, III, Dade and Gauge Crout and numerous other family members and friends.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service in the Chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Saturday, September 8, 2012 at 1:30PM. Parlors will be open on Saturday from 12PM until 1:30PM. Interment at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA. For funeral information or directions, please call 504-366-4343.
