Clare Giblin Hey

Clare Giblin Hey passed away peacefully at her residence on Sunday, August 14, 2011 at the age of 88. Beloved wife of 35 years to Herbert W. “Bert” Hey. Daughter of the late Mark Charles Giblin and Cecelia Hebert Giblin. Mother of Roland T. Melancon, Jr. (Elaine), Mary Ann Melancon Singleton (George Plakotos) and the late William J. Melancon. Grandmother of Michael (Claudia), Holly and Jason (Megan). Great Grandmother of Mickey, Cecelia, Paiton and Noelle. Sister of the late Harold Giblin, Burton Giblin and Dorothy Tassin. Clare is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and pet dogs, Birdie and Jasmin. She was a lifelong resident of Marrero, LA and past member of the Harvey Moose Lodge and Marrero Lions Club. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Service at West Point Church, 664 Behrman Highway, Grenta, LA on Sunday, August 28, 2011 at 1:30PM. Interment will be private.
